Records are stored electronically for cases filed in 2004 and later. You may request that copies be mailed to you (at a cost of 50 cents per page) by calling (509) 458-5300. You may also access the electronic records through PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records). PACER is an electronic public access service that allows users to obtain case and docket information. If you do not have a PACER login, register online at www.pacer.uscourts.gov.
Records in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 cases closed longer than 15 years may have been destroyed pursuant to the Records Disposition Schedule (Guide to Judiciary Policy, Vol. 10).
Records in cases that are not included in the categories above can be requested from the National Archive and Records Administration (NARA). To obtain a pre-filled order form, please complete the steps below.
You will receive a pre-filled form that contains file location information. Simply follow the instructions, fill out the remainder of the request form, and mail it to the NARA.
